'Homes of the Tropics' is a collection based off the many weather board/ Queenslander homes that are located in Tropical North Queensland. 
They all have their own characteristics that make them individual and full of personality. Whether it's the delicate stain glass windows, grand stair case to the front door, or the colour the weather boards have been painted. In my research of these beautiful homes, I've noticed that any colour combination works on a Queenslander; pastel pinks, blues, yellows, along with a contrasting shade of the skirtings and frame work. Another asethic that makes these older homes so appealing is their lush tropical gardens; Palm trees framing the backyard and fences, hibisbus in full bloom near the letter box, or a frangipani tree that is as old as the house itself. 
This collection showcases what makes a Queenslander home incredibly warm and homely.
