'Mossman Gorge' is a very popular destination to explore while visiting Far North Queensland. Located 20 minutes north from Port Douglas, and is the entrance to the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. 
 
The Mossman River travels through the rainforest, and has some of the clearest water you'll ever see, with huge boulders creating a breath taking scenery. Not to mention the incredibly lush rainforest, where you can go on the numerous hikes underneath the canopies, while listening to the beautiful birds above.  
 
You can also do self-guided walks through Mossman Gorge, and gain an understanding of the Kuku Yalanji land, culture, and history.
 
Definitely worth a day trip, if you are heading to Port Douglas or the Daintree.
